Bodyfurn Chair®
To discover the features of the Bodyfurn® chair, run your cursor over the chair to the left.
Why are bodyfurn® chairs different? There are a number of benefits
to Bodyfurn. The main feature is that the seat moves independently
from the back, this supports the main seating positions used by
students. Leaning forward (30%),
leaning back (30%) and sitting upright (5%)
Bodyfurn® chairs come in 6 sizes which are provided according to the needs of the classrooms being supplied, considering the school's ethnic mix, gender mix and year levels.
All essential practical requirements have been provided for such as strength, stability, stackability (6 high), ability to sit well on desks for floor cleaning, durability (tested through 900,000 seating cycles), easily cleaned, specially formulated nylon tips that reduce noise, and well ventilated seat and back.
Ergonomic requirements previously understood but never properly or fully applied include being comfortable, molded to fit the body, correct heights (as defined by the proposed Australia NZ Standard), dynamic, with back and seat moving independently (a world first), and designed specifically for the tasks of the classroom.
